Get in: By plane, Aswan International Airport is situated 25km southwest of the city.

By train, Egypt’s passenger train service runs along the Nile between Cairo and Aswan.

By boat, The River Nile as it passes through Aswan Dozens of cruise ships travels between Luxor and Aswan, Aswan-Luxor takes 3 nights while Luxor-Aswan takes 4 nights.

The main touristic areas: The Nubian museum, unfinished obelisk, Fatimid cemetery, Ferial garden, Saint Michael Cathedral, tombs of the nobles, Kubbet el-Hawa, Mausoleum of Mohammed Shah Aga Khan, Monastery of St Simeon, The high dam, the botanical garden and Philae temple.

Spicy Aswan:

one of the things which you should try there is to walk on the market of Aswan and enjoy the smell of spices and beautiful colours, The buyers will do the best to convince you to try their stuff, enjoy the atmosphere, of the market which offer as well the Nubian talisman, baskets, Sudanese swords, African masks, live products, food, fruit, vegetables, henna powder, t-shirts, and robes.

The Nile Felluka:

The most authentic and intimate way to cruise the Nile is aboard a felucca, a traditional sailboat used in Egypt since ancient times, especially in Aswan by enjoying the unique nature which surrounds the Nile.

Aswan is Egypt’s capital of sugarcane, When you are there you should try the fresh sugarcane juice and Tea with the Locals which cause more fun.

Camel Rides:

across to the camel marshalling area, Ride the camel to the Monastery of St Simeon, and follow the steps of the ancient Egyptians on the hills close to Aswan.
